Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This privacy policy covers the following browser extensions: StashPile, SnapPolish, and NicheScope.

Summary

None of these extensions collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or usage information. All data these extensions create or read stays stored locally on your own device, inside your browser's local storage.

StashPile

StashPile reads the titles and URLs of tabs you choose to "stash" so it can save and restore them later. This data is stored only in your browser's local storage and is never sent anywhere. Nothing is transmitted off your device. Exporting a backup file saves it directly to your own computer; it does not pass through any server we control.

SnapPolish

SnapPolish captures an image of the current tab only when you click its icon, so it can let you style and download that image. The captured image is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

SnapPolish offers an optional one-time paid upgrade ("Pro"). If you choose to upgrade, a randomly generated device identifier (not linked to your name, email, or browsing activity) is sent to our payment-verification server to confirm your purchase and unlock Pro features. This identifier does not include any images, screenshots, or personal information. Payment itself is handled entirely by Stripe; SnapPolish and its developer never see or store your card details.

NicheScope's free tier reads publicly visible listing information (titles, prices, review counts) from Etsy search result pages you are already viewing, in order to display market statistics. This analysis happens entirely on your device, is never transmitted to us or any third party, and requires no account.

NicheScope offers an optional paid subscription ("Pro") that unlocks saved niches, historical trend tracking, multi-keyword analysis, shop analysis, and CSV export. Pro-tier data — the niches you save, and the history NicheScope records for them — is also stored only in your browser's local storage, on your device, not on our servers.

To keep a Pro subscription active, NicheScope checks your license key against our license-verification server roughly once a day in the background, in addition to the check made when you first activate a key. No other data — not your Etsy activity, saved niches, search terms, or browsing history — is included in this check. Payment itself is handled entirely by Stripe; NicheScope and its developer never see or store your card details. Stripe independently collects the billing information (such as your email address) needed to process payment and issue receipts, under Stripe's own privacy policy.

Two Pro features — multi-keyword analysis and shop analysis — ask for two additional, optional browser permissions ("scripting" and "tabs"), limited to etsy.com. NicheScope only requests these when you first use one of those features, via an explicit popup you have to approve; they are never granted silently. When approved, these permissions are used only to open a hidden background browser tab to an Etsy search or shop page you've specifically asked to analyze (a keyword you typed, or a shop URL you pasted), read the same publicly visible listing data described above from that page, and then close the tab. NicheScope does not use these permissions to read, monitor, or access any other tab you have open.
